FAQs

  • How will the coaching and training be delivered?

    This program is 100% online. The LIVE sessions are held via Zoom and use Mural for project tracking. Online self-study materials and templates will also support the student's journey.

  • When are the LIVE sessions held?

    LIVE sessions are offered weekly. They are currently on Tuesdays at 5:15 - 7:15 PM NZ Time.

  • Do I need to have Green Belt or Six Sigma training?

    Yes. This course is not to receive your certificate but to support your application of the tools. It will not teach statistical tools or software. The program is focused on Project and Change Management for facilitating a DMAIC project. While some support on Six Sigma tools will be offered, the focus will not be on how to use statistical analysis tools.

  • Should I tell my employer?

    Yes. Whether you are taking this program with the sponsorship of your employer or for your own self-development you will need your manager's support to complete a DMAIC project. At the very least, your employer will need to support you leading a team through a process improvement project.

  • Do I need to have a project or project idea to start?

    No. The first session will be focused on brainstorming project ideas and how to select the best idea.

  • Will I be expected to complete a DMAIC project?

    Yes. This course is intended to take you step-by-step through a DMAIC project. To complete the course and present at the final showcase you will need to complete a project.

  • What is the Project Showcase?

    The Project Showcase is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your mastery of Six Sigma and project facilitation. You will get to present your project and answer questions. The Project Showcase will be scheduled based on completed project and participant interest. It will be open to anyone that would like to attend and is an excellent way to show off your skills. In addition, each student will get a recording of their presentation, a wonderful way to show your skills to recruiters or future employers.

  • Does this Program certify me as a Green Belt?

    No. This is not a certification program. This program provides mentorship so you can complete a Green Belt Project.

    You have completed some Lean Six Sigma training and understand the basics of DMAIC projects and Six Sigma tools.
